So ever since I've been at secondary school I've always struggled at revision for exams. I struggle at staying focused {To be honest that's the same in life}, being motivated and remembering things. So through the years I've discovered ways that help me and I thought I would share them with you.
- Quick bursts ~ I find that doing revision for a long time is really boring so if you do it for about half an hour then do something for a while then come back to it, I find this really useful.
- Using A LOT of colours ~ I find it easier to learn and remember if key words and phrases stand out, so I use a lot of colours when writing notes.
- Diagrams ~ Even if your not good at drawing simple diagrams can help because you will hopefully remember them when it comes to exams and things.
- Spread it out ~ I find that doing the same subject for a long time can also be boring so if you do several different subjects instead of one I find this can help but I know some people find it more confusing.
- Not sitting in silence ~ I cant sit in silence at the best of times so when revising I like to have something in the background, I think this also helps you feel like your not in an exam because when things are silent I feel like it's an exam.
